ETU says no to violence against women
Hardly a week passes without a story about violence inflicted on a woman by a partner or estranged partner. in fact, according to the White Ribbon Foundation '1 in 3 Australian women report experiencing at least one incident of physical or sexual violence since the age of 15'. The Not 1 More event at Federation Square on Friday November 27 – as part of the White Ribbon campaign - will remember women and children who have been killed as a result of family violence. The ETU is one of a number of unions sponsoring the day. MC for the event will be Phil Cleary, with speakers – starting at 6 pm - including TV host Andrew O’Keefe.
